No trading, selling spots. Why?
We appreciate from the players prospective that in order not to lose your money you will try to sell your spot.
From the organisers prospective though this is a nightmare. Why?
People not talking responsibility on their RSVP
When you sign up in a game you agree on the refund policy. This means that each player should act responsibly and provide enough notice if they cannot make it to a game.
There can always be unforeseen circumstances, and in that case you must take yourself off the list as soon as possible in order to minimize the risk having an uneven numbers game. Which is really unfair for the rest of the group.
Creating an unreliable booking system
Our booking system is based on the attendance list. This means everybody who is attending the game must be in the list. This serves Footy Addicts for various reasons.
1. If there is an incident at the pitch we must know who was involved and follow our Code of Conduct.
2. People turning up late, are marked as No shows which affects their reliability and access to future games
3. Voting for Player of the Match
4. Identifying people who did not pay and just turn up at the game
Examples of poor game management
In he past we had various cases in which: Somebody makes a comment that wants to play 2 days before kick off, and a person who is in the list, relying on this comment to sell their spot. By the game day the person who commented is not be able to attend, so the person who is trying to sell the spot is holding it wasting valuable time to find a replacement.
Game list shows full if you do not free the spot, so others do not know that there is an open spot.
> All the above have an impact on other people's experience at the pitch, therefore it is responsibility from all people involved to respect fellow members.
