Footy Addicts is contracting a Payment gateway (Stripe) in order to handle all Card data for payments 🤝

What dos it mean for you? ☀️

Standards and regulations compliance: Stripe uses best-in-class security practices to maintain a high level of security. A PCI-certified auditor evaluated Stripe and certified us to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. This audit includes both Stripe’s Card Data Vault (CDV) and the secure software development of our integration code.

Your Checkout experience should be smooth and secure. Stripe is one of the biggest payment gateways investing a lot of resources in order to provide the safest and the best possible user experience for card owners

Fees ☁️

Payment gateways as any company are charging for their services. Standard fee per transaction is 4.3% + 20p. The fee can vary based on card issuer, currency exchange and other parameters. At Footy Addicts we pass on the payment gateway fee to the game organiser so it does not affect the user. So keep in mind that when the Game organiser requesting a fee for a game, is not what they are actually receiving.

Please note: Payment gateway fee is not refundable when you withdraw money from your wallet

Chargebacks 😵

Chargebacks is when the cardholder demands by a credit-card provider for a retailer to make good the loss on a fraudulent or disputed transaction. 

Every time there is a chargeback request to the bank, there is an admin fee of £20 in order to process the request. The fee is not refundable by the bank and it will always transferred to the user associated with the transaction.

In order to avoid being charged of the fee please ensure that:

1. Honoured the Game's refund policy
2. Contacted the Game organiser
3. Contacted Footy Addicts via email on info@footyaddicts.com
