Adding an age filter! :)
Adding an age filter would greatly enhance the playing experience by ensuring better matchups in terms of intensity, skill level, and physicality. Currently, players of all ages join the same games, which can lead to mismatches—older players might struggle to keep up with high-intensity games dominated by younger athletes, while younger players might not enjoy a more relaxed pace. By allowing users to filter games based on age groups, the app would promote fairer, safer, and more enjoyable matches for everyone, reducing the risk of injury and frustration.

Game review text should not be shown to everyone
It could be against another player or host, that led to the poor review. So as in the app, the review (or at least the review text) must not be shown to other players of that game on the website as well.

Mark no show hosts
Sometimes hosts don't show up, how can we mark them as no show? Thanks!

Identify on the app when you’ve played with a player before
When signing up to a game it’d be good to see who you’ve already played with previously and how many times next to their name. Might give people an idea of how familiar the players will be, whether it will be all new people or a few familiar faces. Sometimes I find it hard to keep track of who’s who after playing a lot of games on different nights.

Make profile pictures clickable so you can enlarge
It’s hard to tell who’s who from the tiny app pics and would be good for learning names of regular playing partners / voting for potm / identifying no shows.

Mobile app: I would like to be able to see my recurring game.
I do not always play in the games I organise and it's a pain to navigate to the next one. I have a weekly recurring game and I would like to either be easily able to navigate to the page of that recurring game that lists all upcoming instances, or at least a page of "my upcoming games I am organisiing" whether I am playing or not.

CHOOSE YOUR TEAM
When joining a game you can choose which team you'd like to play on.
This is particularly for those who bring friends as guests. Most of the time those guests are added to the opposing team and more often than not those players still turn up in the same coloured tops. In a post-covid world with no Bibs this throws off the team balance Light vs Dark.

Improve the line up
The teams are decided by the players who join the team by themselves according to the colour of the tee, but everybody should have 2 different tees and teams should be built by the skills, not which tee I want to wear
1 voteThis is a bit more complicated, as we need to introduce a reliable way to have players levels. We are working on this. Thanks for the feedback

It’s difficult to understand the level of the game you’re signing in, there should be more info about players that already played together
In the line up there should be a visual coloured link between those who played already together so to understand if it’s a casual game or you will fill up teams that have some understanding and team bond

Competitions, Prizes, Achievements
Hey Kos and team,
FootyAddicts is an amazing app to find games, but they often lack the true competitiveness that drives football. If footyaddicts app were to host/facilitate the hosting of small tournaments of various kinds - leagues, cups etc., we could get many more people involved.
On top of this, teams/players could enter with cash to earn competition prizes, and even be a sponsorship opportunity.
Perhaps even a 'achievements' system like in Video Gaming where players are rewarded with virtual trophies/collectables for completing milestones (e.g. 10 matches played, 3 MOTM, winning 3 tournaments, hosting games, fair play award)
Thanks,…
6 votesHello Roman. Virtual trophies is something we are looking at, even awards as credits in your footy addicts wallet.

Bonding people outside the pitch
It will be very special if we could somehow set up tournaments so competition will be much more intresting and getting to know each player longer and lead to meaningful friendships

Have a mixed payment method for participants ?
We're looking particularly to top-up our existing player group with players from the FootyAddicts community, but it'd be good if these players could pay online with the existing members being excluded from that requirement.
Possible to incorporate a mixed payment method across a group/game ?
4 votesWe will introduce memberships so people who are members join for free games which are under the membership.
This is a bit more complicated technically so it might take longer to develop. Thanks for the feedback

Last minute drop outs
Currently there is little to penalise players for leaving a game so close to kick off.
I experienced a drop out at 6.15pm for a 7pm game this week and it is not fair as there is no way to fill the space.
It should be noted on players profile in the same way as a no-show.22 votes -

A way to shortlist games for later
Have a save/shortlist button on the app so if you don’t immediately sign up you can find the games you are interested in easily later on rather than having to scroll all the way back to find it.
8 votesIf you follow a game you should be able to see them by filter “Followed games”

Allow people to choose areas where they want notifications for
I live in Putney, and work in King's Cross: the notification email about games lists a bunch of places where I wouldn't want to go and includes a few games I wouldn't be interested in (e.g. 5-a-side). It would be better if I could tailor the notifications.
